Massive Sinkhole Swallows a Bus in Brazil

According to reports a massive sinkhole devoured an entire tour bus and then deposited it in the rushing waters of a flood-swollen river in Brazil. As harrowing as it may look, this near-disaster didn’t claim a single life. All the bus passengers safely stepped off the bus just in time to see the vehicle become a makeshift boat. According to the International Business Times, the accident occurred in northern Brazil along the Trans-Amazonian Highway between Itaituba and Ruropolis. The Washington Post noted that late summer rains flooded the Rio Tapajos, which intersects with the Trans-Amazonian Highway. FULL REPORT
